BJP Chalks Out Campaign Plan For All 68 Seats
The Bharatiya Janata Party has chalked out its campaign plan for poll-bound Himachal Pradesh covering all 68 constituencies of the state.
On November 5, the Prime Minister is likely to hold two rallies. The first one will be in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh under the Shimla Lok Sabha seat. The other rally will take place on the same day in Sundar Nagar under Mandi Lok Sabha.
On November 9, senior BJP leader Modi is likely to visit Himachal again to hold two more rallies. The first rally will be held in the Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat while the second one will take place in Chambi, Shahpur under the Kangra Lok Sabha seat.
Meanwhile, Congress has also prepared its schedule for campaigning in the hill state. The campaign will be spearheaded by Priyanka Gandhi while Rahul Gandhi will not be able to campaign for the party due to his ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
As per sources, Priyanka will hold four meetings and four road shows in the state in the next two weeks.
The legislative term of Himachal Pradesh will end on January 8, 2023. Polling will take place in a single phase in Himachal Pradesh on November 12 and the votes will be counted on December 8.
In 2017 assembly polls, the BJP bagged 44 seats and the Congress 21 in the 68-member assembly, with the ruling party getting a vote share of 48.8 per cent and the grand old party 41.7 per cent.
The ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll 2022 has projected that the ruling BJP can emerge as the single largest party, bagging 37 to 45 seats, followed by the Congress with 21 to 29 seats.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party may win just one seat, according to the ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll 2022.
