BJP MLA calls Sonia Gandhi ‘Vish Kanya’
Karnataka: Karnataka BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, in response to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s comparison of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a “venomous snake”, called Sonia Gandhi a “vish kanya”, drawing a sharp attack from the main opposition and demanding the expulsion of Yatnal from the party.
Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala said the BJP and its leaders in Karnataka have lost their political and mental balance.
“The whole world admires Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Yatnal, an MLA from Bijapur, said at an election rally here on Sunday. At one time the US did not grant him a visa but today he has emerged as a global leader who gets a grand welcome.
“Compared him (Modi) to a cobra snake and called him poisonous. Isn’t the Sonia, who keeps on praising him in his own party, a vish kanya? Sonia Gandhi has ruined the country. She works as an agent of China and Pakistan,” MLA said.
