Centre gives Y-plus security cover to Taranjit Singh Sandhu

New Delhi: Former Indian Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who recently joined the BJP and is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Amritsar, has been given ‘Y-plus’ category CRPF cover by the Central government.

Sandhu has been given security cover across India following orders issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs earlier this week. Based on the report of the Intelligence Bureau, it has been decided to increase the security cover.
