Jalandhar Court frames charges against Former CM Channi’s

A district and sessions court in Jalandhar has framed charges against Former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s Bhupinder Singh Honey and his associate Kudrat Deep in a case of illegal sand mining filed by the Enforcement Directorate under the money laundering case. 

Bhupinder Singh, nephew of former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, was arrested by the agency ahead of the Assembly elections in Punjab in February. Honey was arrested in connection with a money laundering case related to the illegal mining case. He, however, denied involvement of Channi in this case even agencies had questioned former Congress CM in this case.
