Congress announces star campaigners for Delhi Assembly elections, include three Punjab leaders
New Delhi: The Congress has unveiled its list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, highlighting its strategy to appeal to Punjabi voters.
The list, released on Saturday, includes three veteran leaders from Punjab: former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Punjab Congress president and MP Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, and Sukhpal Singh Khaira, an MLA from Bholath and president of the All India Kisan Congress.
Khaira, known as a firebrand leader with significant influence in the NRI belt, is expected to bolster the party’s campaign.
By appointing seasoned and grassroots leaders, the Congress aims to inject energy into its election efforts and strengthen its outreach to Punjabi voters in the capital.
