Controversial image of Sheetal gives headache to BjP

Jalandhar News: The controversial image of its candidate Sheetal Angural is giving a major headache to BJP in the by-poll for Jalandhar West Assembly segment is giving severe headache to the saffron party.

Turncoat Sheetal, who had recently joined BJP after leaving AAP, was elected MLA in the 2022 assembly polls. However the MLA soon started courting controversies with his style of functioning and his alleged criminal acts and past. The allegations of open patronisation of criminals by him along with the alleged involvement of his near and dear ones soon became talk of the town.

It was due to these acts only that the notorious MLA was sidelined by AAP and his wings were clipped. Much to his embarrassment his long term foe Sushil Rinku was roped in by AAP and given MP ticket during by-poll last year. Clipped over being sent to backseat Angural then switched sides to BJP for contesting the polls.

Now the saffron party has fielded Angural as its candidate from Jalandhar west but it has turned to be major headache for the party. Reason being that every other day the misdeeds of Angural are coming to fore in form of audio clips or allegations by the people due to which the chances of BjP, which came second in segment, during recently concluded Lok Sabha polls are weak. The controversial and turncoat Angural is proving to be a nightmare in the assembly segment which had been considered its strong hold since long.
