Dhindsa-led SAD (Sanyukt) merges into SAD fold
Chandigarh: In Punjab, the Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa-led Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have merged today. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal arrives at Dhindsa’s residence in Chandigarh.
Sukhbir Singh Dhindsa has been appointed by Sukhbir Badal as the party president by giving him place of former CM Parkash Singh Badal.
Sukhbir Badal said that earlier the party was moving forward under the guidance of Parkash Singh Badal. Now he is not among us. Therefore, he (Sukhdev Dhindsa) will take the party forward by serving the patron.
Sukhbir Badal said that any leader’s experience is not as much as that of our elders.
Sukhdev Dhindsa said that elections are coming up, so they do not want posts for their leaders in the party right now. After the elections, the leaders of the Akali Dal United will be given appropriate posts.
