ED could not prove money trail against any AAP leader in liquor policy case: Atishi
New Delhi: Delhi minister Atishi on Saturday claimed that despite several raids, arrests and two years of investigation into the alleged excise policy scam, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has not been able to prove the money trail against any Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader.
The AAP leader also said that the Enforcement Directorate has taken action against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on Thursday on the basis of Sharad P Reddy’s statement. Atishi said Reddy of Aurobindo Pharma was arrested by the directorate in November in connection with an excise policy case.
She claimed that Reddy gave crores of rupees to the BJP through electoral bonds. Atishi challenged the ED to register a case against the BJP and alleged that the money trail in the so-called excise policy scam was linked to the BJP.
The minister alleged that the BJP has received proceeds of crime in its bank accounts. She said the central agency should arrest BJP chief JP Nadda in the case.
