Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s health worsens on 15th day of hunger strike

Chandigarh: The health of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has deteriorated as his fast-unto-death entered its 15th day. Dallewal is protesting at Village Dhabi Gujjars on the Delhi-Sangrur National Highway, demanding the Central government fulfill its earlier commitments.

Doctors are closely monitoring his condition using medical equipment to track heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse, as concerns for his health grow. In solidarity, farmers at the protest site observed a day-long hunger strike.

Amid fears of potential intervention by authorities to move Dallewal, farmer leaders have reportedly bolstered his security. Faridkot MP Sarbjeet Singh Khalsa visited the protest site today to check on Dallewal’s condition and express support.
