Former ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu joins BJP, may contest Lok Sabha polls from Amritsar

Chandigarh: Former Indian Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu today joined the BJP.

He is likely to be fielded in the Lok Sabha elections from Amritsar.

He joined the party in the presence of party general secretaries Vinod Tawde and Tarun Chugh.

Joining the BJP, Sandhu spoke about the developments in India-US relations.

He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party president J P Nadda.
