Former US President Trump attacker identified as 20-year-old Thomas Cooks, killed
New York: The man who attacked former US President Donald Trump has been identified. The shooter who attempted to assassinate the former US president has been identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Cooks, the New York Post reported, citing sources.
According to sources, the attacker was standing on the roof of a manufacturing plant located 130 yards away from the stage of Butler Farm.
He was shot dead by US Secret Service shooters from whom an AR style rifle was later recovered.
The cause of the attack is yet to be ascertained. On the other hand, Trump said on social media after the shooting that he is fine now.
