Grateful to Congress leadership for reposing faith in us: MLA Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary

Jalandhar: As the Indian National Congress announced the candidature of Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary for the upcoming Jalandhar Lok Sabha by poll, Phillaur MLA Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary said the family was deeply grateful to the Congress party leadership for reposing faith in them.

  “We are thankful to the party president Mallikarjun Kharge ji, Sonia Gandhi ji and Rahul Gandhi ji for declaring the candidature of my mother for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by poll and assure that we will win this seat for the party by a huge margin,” he said.

  MLA Chaudhary said that a thumping victory of the Congress party would be a fitting tribute to the popular leader, Member of Parliament Santokh Singh Chaudhary, who had passed away during Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra in Phillaur on January 14, 2023.

    Congress candidate Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary stated she was thankful to the Congress leadership for standing steadfastly with her family during the difficult time, adding that she would work hard to realise the dreams and aspirations of her late husband, Chaudhary Santokh Singh and propagate the ideology of the Congress party.
