Modi govt’s budget with more promises and less work-less strategy: Congress
New Delhi: The Congress today said the Narendra Modi government had hit back at the Budget last year but the reality has come to the fore as its strategy is “more promises and less work to do”.
Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh tweeted, “Last year’s budget was praised for allocations related to agriculture, health, education, MNREGA and welfare of Scheduled Castes.
Everyone knows the reality today. The actual expenditure is much less than the budget.”
Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also criticised the budget, calling it “anti-poor and anti-middle class”.
