NDA announces seat-sharing in Bihar
New Delhi: In Bihar, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has reached a consensus on seats. BJP, JDU, LJP(R), HAM and Rashtriya Lok Morcha officially announced it on Monday.
As per the agreement, the BJP will contest 17 seats out of total 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. At the same time, Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United (JDU) will contest 16 seats. Chirag Paswan’s party LJP (R) will contest 5 seats.
Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party will contest on one seat. One seat has been given to Upendra Kushwaha’s party Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
BJP will contest these 17 seats
West Champaran, East Champaran, Aurangabad, Madhubani, Araria, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Maharajganj, Saran, Ujiarpur, Begusarai, Nawada, Patna Sahib, Pataliputra, Ara, Buxar and Sasaram.
JDU will contest elections on these seats
Valmiki Nagar, Sitamarhi, Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Siwan, Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Nalanda, Jehanabad and Sheohar.
Chirag Paswan’s party has been given Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria and Jamui seats. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party will contest from Gaya seat. Karakat seat has been given to Upendra Kushwaha.
