Opposition parties form ‘India’: Front named Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance
New Delhi: The opposition parties have named their front ‘INDIA’ i.e. Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance. Today is the second day of the meeting. During this, many leaders targeted the BJP and said that the purpose of the meeting in Bengaluru is to save the country, democracy and the Constitution.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday said the party was not interested in power or the prime minister’s post at a meeting of 26 opposition parties to discuss a strategy ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
The tag Line of the opposition front will be United We Stand… Sonia Gandhi and Nitish Kumar are likely to be made the president of the new front.
Top leaders of several opposition parties began a formal meeting here on Tuesday to discuss a host of issues, including the contours and common programme of an alliance against the Bharatiya Janata Party for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Earlier, the opposition leaders had informally discussed the first day of the two-day meeting over dinner on Monday.
