Pakistan alleges India planning military action over Pahalgam attack

Karachi: Pakistan on Wednesday alleged that India is planning military action against it within the next 24 to 36 hours in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, citing “credible intelligence inputs”.

Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar accused the Indian government of preparing an attack based on “baseless and fabricated allegations” of Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam incident. He said Pakistan has consistently condemned terrorism in all forms and is itself a victim of terror.

Tarar added that Pakistan has proposed an “honest, transparent and impartial” probe by a commission but claimed that India is avoiding investigation and choosing confrontation instead.

Calling on the international community to remain vigilant, Tarar warned that any military aggression by India would be “certainly responded to”, and said the responsibility for any escalation would lie entirely with India.
