Punjab governor calls Pahalgam attack cowardly, urges strong response
Chandigarh: Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria condemned the recent attack in Pahalgam, calling it a “very sad and cowardly attack.”
“I think the country is expecting the prime minister to speak in the same language as Pakistan,” Kataria said. He added that the government’s initial response suggests it is moving in that direction.
“Now we have to wait and see when they get the same response as they acted. They should be given a tougher reply than what they have done so that such incidents do not happen in the future,” he said.
Opinion on Wagah border closure
When asked whether the Wagah border has been closed, Kataria responded, “I think the government has done what they think is appropriate for them. Let’s see what happens next.”
