SAD Amritsar announces 7 candidates, Simranjit Mann to contest from Sangrur
Chandigarh: The regional party Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) of Punjab has announced its intention to field candidates in Haryana, Chandigarh, and Jammu and Kashmir for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, in addition to Punjab.
Simranjit Singh Mann, the SAD Amritsar president and incumbent MP from Sangrur, has once again declared his candidacy for Sangrur. The party has also revealed the names of five candidates from Punjab and two from Haryana.
Simranjit Singh Mann said that SAD Amritsar is announcing the names of 7 candidates, including himself contesting from Sangrur. Additionally, Kushalpal Singh Mann from Sri Anandpur Sahib, Amritpal Singh from Ludhiana, Baldev Singh from Faridkot, and Prof. Rajesh Kumar from Patiala are among the candidates. Mohinderpal Singh will also contest the election.
Furthermore, the party has announced candidates for two seats in Haryana, namely Karnal and Kurukshetra. Harjeet Singh Virk from Karnal and Khajan Singh from Kurukshetra will be contesting the seats.
