Special session of Punjab Assembly legal, central team won’t be allowed to survey SYL canal: Govt
Chandigarh News: Finance Minister Harpal Cheema and Administrative Reforms Minister Aman Arora today said that the special session of the Vidhan Sabha scheduled to be held on October 20-21 is legal and it will happen. It also announced that no central team will be allowed to survey the land acquired for the construction of the SEL canal.
The two ministers said after the cabinet meeting on Saturday afternoon that after the cabinet meeting held on Saturday afternoon, the government’s talk has been that there was no formal discussion in the meeting about the assembly session to be held next week.
The Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has approved the bills to amend the GST. But the state government is hopeful that these bills will be implemented and approved by the governor.
