Woman constable who slapped Kangana transferred to Bengaluru

Chandigarh: CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, who slapped actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport last month, has been transferred to the Bengaluru unit. Kulwinder Kaur is under suspension till the completion of the investigation.

She was suspended from the Central Armed Police Forces on June 6 following the incident. An FIR was registered against Kulwinder Kaur on the complaint of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Kulwinder Kaur has been sent to the 10th Reserve Battalion in the Karnataka capital amid pending disciplinary inquiry, the sources said. She was transferred immediately after the incident as the investigation was on, sources said.

Sources said the matter is being probed by a senior commandant-rank officer and statements of the constable, her colleagues present at the airport at the time of the incident, shift in-charge and some airline officials are being recorded.
