2 youths burnt alive in Jalandhar: Overspeeding Mercedes collides with bike on National Highway

Jalandhar: The accident occurred near Goraya on the Jalandhar-Ludhiana National Highway in Punjab, resulting in a fire after the car dragged the bike. Tragically, two unidentified youths on the bike lost their lives. The damaged Mercedes also suffered significant mechanical failure.

Vicky, a resident of Phillaur, who witnessed the incident, informed the police that he was trailing the bike when the speeding Mercedes collided with it, causing the fatal crash. The car’s excessive speed made it difficult to control when the bike was in its path.

Goraya’s Station House Officer (SHO) Sukhdev Singh and investigating officer Harbhajan Singh Gill arrived at the scene late at night. The police retrieved the remnants of the car and bike for further investigation. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem.

Both victims are confirmed to have died on the spot. The police plan to release photos today to aid in identifying the deceased individuals. Additionally, the police will gather details about the car and initiate legal proceedings against the responsible party.
