5 friends from Jalandhar burnt alive in Punjab after collision between car and truck

Jalandhar: Five youths lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, late on Friday night.

All occupants were in the car when a truck collided with it from behind near Dasuha on the Jalandhar-Pathankot highway.

Subsequently, a car explosion occurred, leading to a fire. The impact also caused the truck to overturn in the roadside bushes, resulting in serious injuries to the driver, who was later rescued by onlookers.

The aftermath of the accident was so severe that various body parts of the deceased were scattered.

The victims, identified as Rishabh Minhas, Inderjeet Kaundal, Raju, Abhi from Bhargav Camp, and Ankit Kumar from Ghas Mandi, were all Jalandhar residents.

They were en route from Jalandhar to Pathankot. The police have taken custody of their bodies and the damaged vehicles.
