5 Punjab Ministers Detained, One Injured in Paddy Lifting Protest in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest in Chandigarh on Wednesday, criticizing the central government over the slow pace of paddy lifting in Punjab.

AAP leaders, along with several supporters, attempted to march toward the Punjab BJP office in Sector 37 but were stopped by the police, who deployed water cannons to disperse the crowd.

During the protest, six AAP ministers, along with multiple MLAs and supporters, were detained by the police. Minister Harjot Singh Bains was reportedly injured during the police action, with his turban dislodged in the scuffle.
