Action on Amritpal supporters in Mohali: Tents of protesters uprooted, Traffic resumes on Airport Road; Heavy police force deployed

Chandigarh: The Punjab Police has started strict action against the protesters who gathered in Mohali to protest against the action against Amritpal Singh. The tents erected by the protesters were uprooted.

In Mohali district, protesters had blocked the public passage (Airport Road). Young people are holding sticks, swords, rods, sticks in their hands. At the same time, The Punjab Police has now come into action. Buses have also been called to detain protesters protesting the police action here. The protesters are being picked up and put in buses.


Rapid Action Force (RAF) teams are stationed in Mohali. On Wednesday, the government has to submit a reply in the case of encroachment of protesters in Mohali.
Protesting since March 18
Hundreds of Amritpal Singh’s supporters have gathered in Mohali at Sohna Light Point on Airport Road. Earlier, all attempts to get the protesters to vacate this important road failed at the moment. Meetings of Mohali district administration officials and police officials have also been held with the protesters.
