After Ajnala protest, Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh forms committee to respect Sri Guru Granth Sahib

Chandigarh: A five-member committee has been constituted by Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh to prepare a report on any protest, demonstration or occupation site where there is a fear of lack of respect for Sri Guru Granth Sahib and submit it to the Jathedar.

The move came after Amritpal Singh, the head of the Waris Punjab De, held protest with Sri Guru Granth Sahib at Ajnala police station, which has received a flak from political parties and religious leaders.
