Bikram Majithia appears before new SIT chief in Patiala in drug case

Patiala: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Majithia appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) again today after receiving a fresh notice in a drugs case. This is Bikram Majithia’s first appearance after the formation of the new SIT.

He appeared before the old SIT thrice. The first SIT was headed by ADGP M S Chhina and he retired on December 31.

The responsibility of the new SIT has been given to Patiala range DIG HS Bhullar. The government had reconstituted the SIT after the retirement of ADGP Mukhwinder Singh Chhina. Besides DIG Bhullar, Patiala SSP Varun Sharma and Dhuri SP Yogesh Sharma have been included as members of the SIT.
