Closed by protesting farmers for past 46 days, Punjab’s most expensive toll plaza Ladowal to open today

Chandigarh: Punjab’s most expensive toll plaza Ladowal is going to start today. From June 16, the Ladowal toll plaza has been made completely free by the Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Union and Bharatiya Kisan Doaba.

The farmers are led by President Dilbag Singh Gill and Inderbir Singh Qadian.

Due to the closure of toll for the last 46 days, people have saved more than Rs 46 crore. Farmers are demanding that the toll price be reduced. The rate has increased three times in a year. After the toll was free, NHAI filed a case in the High Court. In this case, the High Court has ordered the Punjab government to start toll.
