CM Mann offers prayers at Harmandir Sahib with students to make Punjab drug-free
Amritsar News: Joining the ‘The Hope Initiative’, a campaign launched by the Amritsar Police Commissionerate as part of the Punjab government’s drug de-addiction campaign, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, along with school children, offered prayers for Punjab’s de-addiction at the Golden Temple.
    The Chief Minister told a large number of students, dressed in yellow turbans that hard work was the only way to success.
Under the campaign launched by the Punjab Government for a drug-free Punjab and Rangla Punjab, where efforts are being made to eliminate drugs, arrangements have also been made for the rehabilitation of drug addicts.
   Later, at the Gandhi Stadium, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Cricket League cricket tournament, under which 15,000 children and youth and others will participate in cricket matches. It may be recalled that the Amritsar Police Commissionerate, under the ‘The Hope’ campaign to turn the youth away from drugs, first offered prayers at the Darbar Sahib, the students took the pledge not to take drugs and later the games were started.Â
