CM raises issue of fake travel agents in NZC meeting, asks for stringent law
Punjab News: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has advocated for a strict action against fake travel agents and raised theis issue in Northern Zonal Council (NZC) meeting.
He said that some agents send people on tourist visas on the pretext of work visa and innocent people get trapped on the foreign land.
The CM stressed that registration of such travel agents should be made mandatory. He registration is done in Punjab, other states should also be asked to register the travel agents.
He said that it is need of the hour to jointly monitor activities of fake agents. Indian Immigration Act needs to be strictly followed
CM said that district magistrates and SSPs need to be given more powers to combat this problem at the grass root level.
