Congress holds dharna in Mansa to demand compensation for damage caused by floods
Punjab News: The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) staged a protest near the local district administrative complex demanding compensation for the damage caused by the floods. Addressing the gathering, State Congress President Amrinder Singh Raja Warring and Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa demanded that compensation be paid to the affected people by conducting girdawari immediately.
Warring said the chief minister was limited to mere rhetoric as no drastic step had been taken so far. Bajwa made it clear that there would be no alliance of the Congress party with the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab in the Lok Sabha or Assembly elections at any cost.
