Countryman will always remain indebted to supreme sacrifice made by Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev: Jaiveer Shergill

Chandigarh: To commemorate the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill, has paid rich tributes to these brave sons of soil. In his message, Shergill said, “Everyone of us must remember the valour and sacrifice made by Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. The trio laid down their lives for the motherland, which will always continue to inspire present and coming generations.”

  Shergill said that every countryman will always remain indebted to the supreme sacrifice made by Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. He also said that the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh should be a reminder to AAP that it should implement Bhagat Singh’s ideology in actions also.

  “As a befitting tribute to the ionic freedom fighter, on his birth anniversary in September last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained International Airport in Chandigarh, as Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport”, he said, while adding that life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, would always act as a lighthouse to imbibe the feelings of nationalism and patriotism among our coming generations.  

  While exhorting the people to take inspiration from life of these martyrs, Shergill said that people should join hands for removing all the social evils plaguing the society to fulfil the dreams of these great martyrs. “On this sacred day, we all must pledge to completely eradicate the drug menace in the state, for the well being of the people and society”, he asserted.

  Meanwhile, expressing extreme dismay over the persistent delay in the upgradation of project of Bhagat Singh museum at the ancestral village of the martyr in Khatkar Kalan (Nawanshahr), Shergill pointed out that as per the media reports, the work was supposed to be completed by December 31, 2022. “However, now the deadline has been further pushed by four months”, he rued, while asking the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP Government to ensure that the upgradation work of the museum is completed at the earliest.
