Dallewal’s health deteriorates, people from his village observe hunger strike today

New Delhi: The health of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on a hunger strike for the last 15 days at the Khanauri border on the Punjab-Haryana border, is deteriorating as he demands a guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of crops.

In solidarity, residents of his native village, Dallewal in Faridkot, observed a hunger strike on Tuesday, refraining from using stoves or preparing meals.

The villagers gathered outside the Gurdwara Sahib, joining Dallewal in prayer and raising slogans against the central government, warning of a larger nationwide protest if their demands are not met.
