Dalvir Singh Goldy joins AAP in presence of CM Mann

Chandigarh: The Congress has suffered a major setback in Punjab. Senior Congress leader Dalvir Singh Goldy today quit the Congress and joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has inducted Goldy into the party at his residence in Chandigarh.

Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer was present on the occasion. Dalvir Singh Goldy has also been an MLA earlier.

He had contested the 2022 assembly elections from Dhuri constituency on a Congress ticket against Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann but lost. Goldy got more than 24,000 votes from Dhuri in the assembly elections.
