Deputy Commissioner Dr Senu Duggal accompanied by SSP Fazilka visits forward posts to meet and laud Soldiers Manning Border amidst harsh weather 

Fazilka: To encourage and laud para military personnel posted on the international border, the Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal visited forward posts alongside the Indo-Pak international border and said the dedication and valour of our soldiers remains unparalleled across the globe.

    Accompanied by SSP Fazilka Manjeet Singh Dhesi, the Deputy Commissioner said meeting soldiers is a matter of pride and honour. “Those who while being far away from their families serve the nation with courage and strength are our real heroes. The grateful nation is indebted for their sacrifices in line of duty, Dr. Duggal added while interacting with the soldiers. BSF Commandant K N Tripathi also accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during her visit.

  The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the night checking drill at Nakas where officials of BSF and Punjab Police keep vigil. It is because of the sacrifices of our police and defence forces that we all sleep peacefully in our homes secure in the fact that someone is keeping us safe, the Deputy Commissioner said.

  Lauding the role played by defence  personnel in controlling drug menace, the Deputy Commissioner said seizures of drugs being infiltrated from across the zero line have been instrumental in checking the spread of drug abuse.

    Interacting with jawans, the Deputy Commissioner on behalf of her administration conveyed gratitude and appreciation for the role they play in the life of our nation.

    Thanking the Deputy Commissioner for district administration’s for swift collaboration and assistance whenever required, S N Tripathi said our jawans are duty bound to serve and lead by example. There is no honour greater than serving the country in Uniform, he added.
The Deputy Commissioner and SSP Fazilka assured him of quick and timely assistance from the civil and Police administration always.
