Dera chief Ram Rahim files petition in High Court to get 21-day parole
Chandigarh: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim Singh has again sought a 21-day parole from the Punjab-Haryana High Court. He filed an application in the High Court regarding this request.
Ram Rahim said in his parole petition that there is a Dera Sacha Sauda program this month that he needs to attend.
In response, the High Court asked him to postpone the program. The High Court also expressed frustration, stating that he first schedules the program and then comes to the court, putting pressure on the petitioner to allow him to attend it.
The bench of the Acting Chief Justice will now hear this application in July, as the case is being handled by the same bench.
Before the Lok Sabha elections, the Dera chief had requested parole. He argued that he was entitled to a 14-day parole, but the court did not grant it.
