Diwali gift: Chandigarh makes parking free for two-wheelers from Dec 1
Chandigarh News: The administration has given Diwali gifts to the residents of Chandigarh. According to the information received, parking of two-wheelers has been made free in Chandigarh. The decision will come into effect in December.
In this regard, the Mayor has said that this is a Diwali gift for the city dwellers as well as the people coming to the markets. He said that recently the MC House has approved the agenda of free parking for two-wheelers in all parking lots run by the municipal corporation from December 1, two-wheelers will be exempted from paying parking fees.
According to media reports, at present, almost all the 89 parking lots in the city are being run by the municipal corporation. At present, people have to pay Rs 7 to park a two-wheeler. For a long time, there was talk of making parking of two-wheelers free in the municipal corporation, but no final decision was being taken in this regard in view of the financial loss.
