DM declares jurisdiction of Jalandhar as “No Drone Zone”

Jalandhar News: District magistrate cum Deputy commissioner Mr. Vishesh Sarangal has ordered that Jurisdiction of jalandhar has been declared as “No Drone Zone “ and flying of drones and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs) shall be strictly prohibited with immediate effect .

       Exercising his powers , conferred upon by section 144 of criminal procedure code 1973, DM also ordered that the ban will remain effective till next three months from today .

       He also made it clear that police and armed forces involved in maintaining law and order and utilizing the UAV/Drones for same purpose would have to intimate the DM office prior deploying UAV/Drones .

      The commissioner of police and SSP Jalandhar Rural shall ensure implementation of this order .
