ECI’s strict instructions regarding Lok Sabha elections, no cops be deployed in home district, officers to be transferred
The Election Commission of India has issued strict instructions in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. It has been said in the instructions issued that no district officer, police officer, excise officer will remain in his home town. Transfer orders have also been issued for all of them with immediate effect.
According to the information received, all the officers will also have to give a declaration letter in which they will have written that they have no relation with any party candidate. Likewise, all the officers from SSP to all inspectors will be transferred from their the home districts. A letter will also be issued in this regard, which has been ordered to be transferred within 7 days of receipt.
It is also worth mentioning here that DCs of all districts have been ordered to be transferred. Class 1 officers will be transferred to the upper level.
