Fake firm case: ED raids over half a dozen locations in Sirsa

Chandigarh: The ED has raided the premises of more than half a dozen firms here today. The raids have been carried out in connection with the alleged fraud of crores of rupees to the government by creating a fake firm.

According to the information, raids have been conducted at the premises of Padma Bansal, Mahesh Bansal, Varinder Gupta and some other persons in the fake firm case.

Sources said that the ED team reached Sirsa this morning, seven teams were formed by the ED officials who came in about 40 vehicles. During this time, the officials maintained a distance from the media. It is worth mentioning that Padma Bansal, Mahesh Bansal and some other people have also gone to jail in the fake firm case.

Of these, Padma Bansal is currently out on bail. The names of several persons have come up so far in the ongoing investigation by the police.
