Farmers closed Ladowal toll plaza on Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway

Punjab News: Farmers of Bhartiya Kisan Union (Ekta Ugrahan) staged a sit-in protest from 12 noon to 3 pm at Ladowal toll plaza on Ludhiana National Highway today to protest against the imposition of jajiya tax.

On this occasion, the farmer leaders informed that today the Kisan Union the toll plaza was closed for three hours without to open the eyes of the Central and Punjab Government.
He said that Ladowal toll plaza is the most expensive toll plaza, while when we buy a new vehicle, the first thing we do is yo pay road tax. Then why is the toll being collected from us at toll plazas?
He said that today only we have made toll free for 3 hours, if the government does not accept our demands, then we will make it toll free permanently.
