Farmers’ protest: Farmers to halt trains for four hours across the country today

New Delhi: The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and the Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, which are agitating at the Shambhu and Khanauri borders, have rejected the decision of the central government to give legal guarantee of MSP for five years on five crops of cotton, maize, arhar, lentil and urad pulses for five years.

Farmers said that all preparations have been made for the rail roko movement. In Punjab, trains are to be stopped at many places in all the districts.

The truck union has also come forward in support of the farmers. Apart from Punjab, trains will be stopped today on behalf of farmers in many other states of the country.
