Farmers to stage protest outside CM Mann residence in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: The Samyukta Kisan Morcha Punjab, Arhtiya Association, and sheller owners held a meeting today at Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh, to address the issue of non-procurement of paddy in Punjab’s mandis.

During the meeting, various concerns of farmers, arhtiyas, and sheller owners were discussed. It was announced that farmers, arhtiyas, and sheller owners will stage a sit-in protest in front of the Chief Minister’s residence in Chandigarh starting from October 18.

Aam Aadmi Party ministers, MLAs, and BJP leader and Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu will be confronted and shown black flags in Punjab’s mandis. Arhtiyas will put up black flags as part of the protest.

The farmers, arhtiyas, and sheller owners said that their protest will continue until proper paddy procurement begins in Punjab’s mandis.
