Father, along with brother, shot dead his only son in Lambi
Bathinda: The father, along with his brother, fatally shot his only son at Dhaula village in Lambi district. The deceased youth, who was about 22 years old, was scheduled to depart for Canada on December 10. The Lambi police station has registered a case against the father and uncle based on statements from the boy’s mother, and both have been taken into custody.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police at Lambi station stated, ‘Yesterday, Shivraj Singh of Dhaula village fatally shot his only son, Navjot Singh, who, despite undergoing treatment for injuries, succumbed to them today.’ The reason for the murder, he said, was the father and uncle’s suspicion regarding the boy’s paternity, leading them to use a licensed weapon to shoot him.
