High Court summons Punjab ADGP jail over gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s interview
Chandigarh News: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has summoned the ADGP Jail regarding the interview case of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. An affidavit, representing the ADGP Jail, was filed in the High Court on Tuesday. However, the High Court expressed dissatisfaction with this affidavit.
The next hearing of the case is scheduled for December 14, during which the authorities were questioned about the delay in the investigation report, which has now surpassed 8 months.
Upon the commencement of the hearing, the ADGP’s affidavit stated ongoing efforts to curb smuggling and the use of mobile phones in jails. The inquiry committee requires additional time to investigate the Lawrence Bishnoi interview case thoroughly and submit the report.
