Honour killing: Parents kill daughter, cop son-in-law in Bathinda
Bathinda: The girl’s family killed a policeman and their daughter with sharp weapons over a love marriage case in Dashmesh Nagar (Tungwali) village near Bhucho Mandi last night. According to the villagers, the girl was a health worker at mohalla clinic Bathinda. A case has been registered against the accused by the Bhucho police post.
Police post in-charge Harbans Singh said that a case has been registered on the statements of the deceased’s brother Sandeep Singh, a resident of Tungwali.
Sandeep Singh said in a written statement that four years ago, his elder brother Havildar Jagmeet Singh of Dashmesh Nagar (Tungwali) Hall Abad Adarsh Nagar Bathinda had a court marriage with Beant Kaur alias Manni of Dasmesh Nagar (Tungwali).
