Jalandhar Administration offers movie tickets to encourage young voters

Jalandhar: In an innovative move to boost voter turnout, the Jalandhar district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, has introduced a unique initiative targeting young voters. Under this, 80 young voters will receive complimentary movie tickets at polling stations after casting their votes.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Aggarwal shared that the administration has collaborated with diierent city multiplexes to provide these 80 movie tickets. The tickets will be distributed free of cost to voters immediately after they exercise their franchise, as a token of appreciation and encouragement.

Dr. Aggarwal emphasized that the district administration is striving to achieve a voter turnout of over 70% in the upcoming elections. He assured that extensive preparations have been made to ensure a comfortable voting experience, with measures in place to mitigate the effects of the heat wave at all polling stations.

“We are committed to making voting a pleasant and rewarding experience for everyone, especially our young voters,” Dr. Aggarwal stated. “We have ensured that adequate facilities are available at polling stations, and we hope this incentive will motivate more people to come out and vote”, he added.

He urged the citizens of Jalandhar to participate actively in the election process and help make Jalandhar the leading district in voter turnout. With these efforts, the administration aims to foster greater civic engagement and enhance the overall electoral participation in the district.
