Jalandhar West assembly constituency by-election: BJP fields Sheetal Angural

Jalandhar: Election activities have intensified in Jalandhar West assembly constituency. After the Aam Aadmi Party announced Mahendra Bhagat as its candidate, the BJP has also announced former MLA Sheetal Angural as its candidate.

Interestingly, the AAP declared Mohinder Bhagat, who came from the BJP, as its candidate, while the BJP announced Sheetal Angural, who left the AAP and joined the BJP, as its candidate.

In the 2022 elections, Mahendra Bhagat and Sheetal Angural had contested against each other, when Mahendra Bhagat was the BJP candidate and Sheetal Angural was the AAP candidate. The Congress has not announced its candidate.
