Ludhiana: Punjab’s most expensive toll plaza Ladowal (Ludhiana) has been made free by farmers. The Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chaduni) has staged a sit-in at a toll plaza in Haryana’s Kurukshetra to protest against the lathi charge on farmers last week. Farmer leaders said that this protest is indefinite. Toll has been made free for vehicles.
The farmer leaders said the Ladowal toll plaza will be kept free till their leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni and other farmer leaders are released and no vehicle slips will be allowed to be cut here. The farmers blocked the middle lines at the toll plaza. While the side lane has been opened for vehicles to move without a slip.
