Ropar News: A lawyer, along with his wife and minor son, continued to brutally beat up an elderly mother in Ropar. This was revealed when the daughter, who came to meet her mother in Giani Zail Singh Nagar, saw the CCTV footage.
The daughter complained to the police with the help of a social service organization. After which the police have arrested the accused lawyer Ankur Verma.
The Ropar Bar Association has also cancelled his membership. Apart from Ankur Verma, the police have also registered a case against his wife Sudha Verma and minor son.
City Police Ropar SHO Inspector Pawan Kumar said the lawyer, along with his wife and son, had been assaulting the ailing elderly mother for a long time.
The elderly mother was rescued by Gurpreet Singh of Humanity Service Organization with the help of police.
