Local Government Minister and DC Jalandhar kick off eighth edition of Spark career guidance program

Jalandhar: Local Government Minister Mr Balkar Singh and Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Vishesh Sarangal on Tuesday kicked off the eight edition of Spark Career guidance program here at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium.

    Addressing multitude of students gathered here in stadium, the Local Government Minister said that the state government led by Chief Minister Mr Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed for opening new vistas of employment and development for the youth. He said that this career guidance program is aimed at grooming the students for transforming their destiny adding that the experts participating in this two days program will show way to the students to excel in their lives. Mr Balkar Singh said that this is the need of hour to make young generation an equal partner in the growth and prosperity of the state.

     The Local Government Minister
said that the state government has given more than 40000 government jobs to the youth completely on the basis of merit. Likewise, he said that investment worth more than Rs 58000 crore has been firmed up in the state adding that it will generate more than 2.98 lakh jobs in the private sector. Balkar Singh said that the jobs are being provided in a transparent manner and that too only on the basis of capability of the youth.

      The Local Government Minister said that the long and arduous wait of people for realising the dreams of great national leaders have been fulfilled after the formation of the AAP government in the state. He said that the sacred land of Punjab has been blessed by great Gurus, Saints, Seers and prophets adding that Punjabi youth are born entrepreneurs who have carved a niche for themselves across the globe. Mr Balkar Singh said that the need of the hour is to utilise this immense potential and ensure holistic development of the state adding that the government is committed to optimally harness this potential to restore pristine glory of the state and make it ‘Rangla Punjab’.

      The Local Government Minister that a number of reforms have been introduced in the education sector so as to benefit the youth. He said that the government is already working tirelessly to ensure that the curriculum of education is fixed in such a manner that it helps the youth in getting jobs. Mr Balkar Singh said that the ultimate aim is to ensure that youth become active partners in the socio-economic progress of the state.

      Lauding the Deputy Commissioner for organising the mega event, the Local Government Minister envisioned that it will go a long way in transforming the destiny of the students. He said that Jalandhar administration deserves kudos for this one of its kind initiative adding that this out of box will groom students for future challenges. Mr Balkar Singh said that this will go a long way in realising the dream of Mr Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to empower the youth.

     Meanwhile, in his address the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Vishesh Sarangal said that in today’s competitive era right guidance is the key for success. He said that the two days program will enable the students to listen to the views of the experts of various fields thereby excel in career of their choice. Mr Vishesh Sarangal said that the motive is to ensure the inclusive and holistic development of youth for their growth and prosperity.

     The Deputy Commissioner said that in consonance to the vision of the Chief Minister Mr Bhagwant Singh Mann, the district administration has organised this program. He wholeheartedly thanked the participating colleges and students for showing great enthusiasm in this noble venture. Mr Vishesh Sarangal said that this has filled him with more humility and dedication to serve the people of Jalandhar with missionary zeal.

      The Deputy Commissioner that more such endeavours will be made in the coming days to ensure that unbounded energy of youth is channelised in a positive direction. He said that district administration will leave no stone unturned for ensuring that youth are groomed well for competing with the peers across the globe. Mr Vishesh Sarangal asked the youth to take full mileage of this humble initiative to excel in the coming times.

      The Deputy Commissioner said that three golden principles of Dream, Hard-work and growth mindset coupled with perseverance can help them to excel in their lives. He said that this will go a long way in living their lives with dignity and pride adding that it is the need of hour. Mr Vishesh Sarangal also thanked the Local Government Minister for sparing his valuable time motivate the students.
